On August 08, 2022, Aim Texas participated, as a Sole Consultant, in a consultancy tender for Project Implementation Support of Nookat Water Sub-project under KR Water Framework. The project is funded by EBRD.
The assignment is related to rehabilitation and modernization of water system in the City of Nookat by way of financing O&M equipment, installation of water meters, and replacement of water networks.
Nookat city is a district of Osh region (Oblast) and located south of Osh city which is the second largest city of Kyrgyz Republic. Osh city is also the capital city of Osh Region (Oblast). Nookat district area is 3,179 sq.km. The project will also cover the Frunze, Chapaev, and Noigut villages which are almost united with Nookat city.
The overall objective of the Assignment is to facilitate the timely and effective implementation of the Project by providing assistance to the Client. The Consultant will provide assistance in procurement of works and goods in accordance with the procedures, specifications and documentation established by the Bank and pursuant to all other agreements stipulated in the Loan Agreement signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and EBRD.
The project will focus on rehabilitation and modernization of water system in the City of Nookat by way of:
- Financing O&M equipment,
- Installation of water meters, and
- Replacement of water networks.
According to ToR of this assignment, the Consultant shall perform the following main tasks:
- Assistance with the Establishment of the PIU,
- Assistance with Design, Procurement, Tendering and Contract implementation,
- Assistance with Compliance & Reporting Obligations under the Financing Documents,
- Environmental and Social Implementation Support.
