Sr. Geotechnical Engineer for construction supervision of road construction

Closing Date: February 2, 2014

Will be employed at site with intermittent assignment as geotechnical engineer during construction supervision period, according to project’s requirement.

Qualifications and Skills
• University degree in mining and geotechnical engineering and preferably with multiple postgraduate degree(s) (Master’s Degree or Ph.D).
• Excellent command of english, both spoken and written.
• Computer literacy (MS Office applications), and Geotechnical Software (3D modeling).

Professional Experience
10 years of experience in design & construction supervision of road projects.

Age Limit
Not exceed 60 years.


• Participating in the detailed design of mine tailings dams, waste stock pile and low grade stock pile which included cross-sections, slope stability analysis, assessment of subsurface conditions, geotechnical and hydrogeological information.
• Preparing quantity, cost estimates and analysis for laboratory works, earth works, construction materials reserved in existing quarries and borrow pits, excavations, operations and constructions.
• Coordinating all grouting, ground treatment and related activities for dam, tunnel, foundations and micro piles works.
• Conducting technical analysis of survey and field data for development of topographic, soil, hydrological field services for civil works.
• Performing detailed analysis of recorded data such as water level, drew down and pumping tests.
• Interpreting clients’ requirements, reviewed design parameters, engineering problems and implemented solutions.
• Preparing technical bid evaluation for geophysical and geo-electrical survey program and other tasks.
• Evaluating and analyzing project engineering schedules, preparation of contract documents and determined project requirements.
• Preparing monthly project status reports, change orders and following up on the status of the engineering tasks, modified, updated, and reviewed as necessary.
• Prepared cost estimates for comparison of alternate closure schemes.
• Preparing geotechnical Health and Safety guidelines and geotechnical field manual.
